I recorded "My Country" in Oklahoma City at Amethyst Recording Studios.  I have always wanted to record Patriotic music.  My Dad was a Sgt. in the First World War.  Yeah!  He got married when he was 36!  Anyway, I wanted to do Patriotic music country.  I got Gregg Grey to do the music,  We used excellent musicians from the Oklahoma City area and Gregg even flew a few cats in from other locations when he needed a paticular sound.  I cut the album in 1987.  Later, the George Bush Campaign people heard it and hired me to sing at some of the Campaign stops.  Some of the friends who wrote the songs, Billy Holcomb, Bonnie Shannon and Tom Wayne -I'd like to thank.  Also Donna Fargo and Irving Berlin, Lee Greenwood and Mickey Newberry. Gifted actor and screen star Dale Robertson performs the resotation "Ragged Old Flag" written by Johnny Cash. Dale opened the door for me to the music business.
